A SKY home that is arguably Brisbane’s best penthouse will go under the hammer today, with $10 million price hopes.
The iconic, two-storey property at 11/170 Bowen Tce, New Farm, is owned by businessman and restaurant extraordinaire John Kilroy.

The African-themed penthouse has been on the market with a number of different agents since late last year, but has failed to attract a buyer willing to pay the $10 million Kilroy is hoping for.
Australia’s elite, including a couple of prime ministers, have been entertained in the blue-chip residence, which boasts one of the most impressive private rooftop terraces in the city.
Records show Kilroy, who until recently ran the popular steakhouse Cha Cha Char on Eagle Street in the city, paid $3.6 million for the apartment off-the-plan in 2013.
The unique home has been custom-fitted and is set over the top two floors of the eight-level apartment building, featuring only six other residences.
The main living areas are coated in African print and animal hide, with the busts of a zebra and gazelle hanging on a wall overlooking the kitchen.
Set on 625sq m, the property is near the CBD, James St and medical facilities.
The property has been marketed by Matt Lancashire and Tom Lyne of Ray White New Farm and is scheduled for auction at 10am.
