Queensland media twins, TV weatherman Luke Bradnam and radio star Ash Bradnam, are riding the property boom.

Ash, whose radio breakfast show Ash, Luttsy & Susie O’Neill is one of the most popular in SEQ, has listed his Runaway Bay home while Luke – who does Channel 9 news crosses for Gold Coast weather, beach, surf and fishing reports – has finally sold a Brisbane investment.

It took the hottest market on record for Luke to flip an Ipswich investment property he’s tried to sell since 2018.

Luke Bradnam sold this investment property in Ipswich for $280,000 after several years on the market.

He accepted a price of $280,000 for the Liverpool Street two bedroom house which sits on a 448sq m block. He had bought the property for $60,000 in 2002 and been asking for offers over $259,000 for the property over the past few years. It had been fetching rental of $250 a week in previous years, with the new owner now relisting it for rental at $310 a week.

Ash – whose Ash, Kip and Luttsy breakfast show was one of the most popular on radio for almost a decade and a half before Kip Wightman declared his resignation almost three months ago – has entered the new year looking to consolidate.

Ash Bradnam is selling this home in Runaway Bay which goes under the hammer at noon on Saturday February 5.

His five bedroom, two bathroom, two car space house in Runaway Bay has been listed to go under the hammer at noon on Saturday February 5.

The home is one of the few that has water views on both sides and hits the market as stock on the Gold Coast tightens with demand rocketing.

Agent Murray Schmidt of Professionals Vertullo Real Estate listed the home on realestate.com.au as being in a blue chip position.

The home has water views out front and back.

The heart of the Gold Coast CBD in the distance.

“With the Broadwater and parkland at the front and a bridge free mooring at the rear, it’s easy to appreciate why this is tightly held and is such a coveted, blue-chip position,” was how he described the property.

Ash shouldn’t have to wait as long as Luke did to sell his property, with Ash’s home having strong redevelopment potential sitting on a 683sq m block with medium density zoning in one of Queensland’s most in demand regions.

Ash won’t be homeless if the sale goes through either, having picked up an entire floor three bedroom apartment at Main Beach for $1.15m in August last year. while Luke has a Southport apartment bought for $1.175m in 2018.
