Mike Rosch, of Elegant Properties, created the Queensland masterpiece, noting similar designs had been built in Sydney .
“Bondor has supplied all the insulated roof and wall panels used throughout the home – these are faster to install than conventional roofing systems and provides optimal thermal and build efficiency,” he said.
“Insulation is important within a home as keeps it cool in summer, warm in winter, and important for fireproofing safety.
“This is Elegant Properties and Sectant’s first home built in Queensland which takes into account the harsh weather and humidity while saving on energy and running costs.”

Mr Rosch said features of the home included tinted glass windows, a wine cellar and a lap pool, with a toilet and shower nearby.
He said the home’s design was based on a German passive home.
“German design in general suits more of a European climate, however this design has been made to compliment Brisbane’s humid weather and sub-tropical climate,” he said.
“The main feature was to insulate the roof and walls with metal panels which sandwich the insulation, this saves the energy usage by 27 per cent.
“The interior features Gaggenau appliances throughout, and a highlight is the steam oven designed to preserve all the goodness in meat/fish and vegetables. There’s even German self-cleaning toilets within the home,” he said.

The home would suit a modern family or a young professional couple, Mr Rosch said.
“This home is built ahead of our time to satisfy those who find healthy living important in the Queensland climate. Even the air conditioning is designed to reduce bacteria and recycle throughout the home.”
Before the property was built, Mr Rosch said there was a cottage on the block with an old house falling away due to lack of maintenance.
“It was a typical old-style Brisbane timber house that had passed its time,” he said.
“The old timber shack was removed and the design of the new build was planned to be on the highest part of the land to allow the magnificent view to Mt Coot-tha and through to the Toowoomba Hills.”
The property is for sale by Ray White New Farm agent Hamish Bowman for offers over $2 million.
