CHAMPION swimmer Libby Trickett and her husband, Luke, have sold their investment property in inner Brisbane for a small profit.
The couple had been asking for offers in the low to mid $300,000s for the one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in the Inn On The Park complex at Toowong.
They ended up getting $340,000 for it.
Records show they bought the property in January 2021, when they paid $310,939 for it.
It was on the market with Mel Christie of Harcourts Property Centre, who said the Tricketts had originally purchased the apartment as an investment.

“It’s been a great investment. I think it would be perfect for an investor or first-home buyer,” she said. “The location is perfect.”
Ms Christie said the property would rent for about $400 to $425 a week. She said interest had been strong.
The unit has been freshly painted and spans 81sq m of living space, spilling out to a private deck. Fully self-contained, the apartment is ready to move into or would be perfect as an investment, according to the realestate.com.au advertisement.
“This desirable apartment is ideal for singles, couples, uni students, hospital workers, and those after a crash pad close to the city,” it reads.
Other features include airconditioning, an open-plan layout, and access to the building’s pool, gym and recreation room.
The former Olympic swimmer recently purchased a home in the rural hamlet of Bald Knob, wedged between Maleny and Landsborough in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The Tricketts paid $2.25m last year for the hinterland range home on an elevated 3.4ha of land, which features sweeping views across the Sunshine Coast coastline.
The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with a separate study with a customised desk and bookshelf and direct access to the veranda.
The Tricketts also own a unit in Noosa Heads and a house in Seven Hills.
