A two-bedroom apartment and studio unit being sold as a dual key package was the hottest property in Qld this week after being relisted for $400,000-plus off a crashed contract.
The property was the most viewed in Queensland on realestate.com.au in the past week – and had the third highest views of all properties listed in the country, according to Proptrack data.
Officially it’s a three bedroom, two bathroom, single car park undertaking, but the dual key units are split into a self-contained studio and a two-bedroom unit.

It first listed on May 11 and went under contract after its second inspection, but the deal fell through after the investor concerned requested a three-month extension to organise finances.
Real estate agent Jessica Benaroche of LJ Hooker Clayfield, who’s marketing the property with colleague Judith Crawford, said the delay was not suitable, especially with so much interest across the market.
“The valuation came in great, building and pest satisfactory,” she said.
“It’s a rare dual key property, heritage listed in an Art Deco building. To find something in the $400,000s in Brisbane is very rare.”
The building was built in 1930, according to records, and the property has been tightly held, last changing hands for $220,000 24 years ago.
Rent came in at $660 a week, Ms Benaroche said, with $400 for the two bedder and $260 for the studio.
Body corporate was $1700 a quarter, with the complex having a pool, lift, onside manager and lots of parking spots onsite.
“All of that has a cost,” Ms Benaroche said.
Options for the homeowner included living in it, renting one unit out and staying in the other or renting both out fully.
“You can self manage or go through the on site manager or any real estate agency you like. We used to manage half the building.”
“It’s kind of a short and long term accommodation, all rented fully furnished,” she said of the in-house rental option.
Part of the appeal of the unit was its location on the ground floor, making it easily accessible for older residents.
She said most of the interest in the property had come from Queensland-based investors.
“It’s based in Clayfield but you’re almost in Albion. Albion is completely booming at the moment, it’s the new black. All the northern suburbs in Brisbane are highly desired but specifically you’re walking distance to all the venues in Albion,” she said, including restaurants, cafes, coffee spots, a pub and bars.
“With the Olympic Games coming in 2032, basketball is being hosted in Albion so that’s appealing. Albion Train Station is only four stops to the city, so you’re very close (to the CBD).”
She said residents in the area had easy access to two train stations – Albion and Wooloowin.
