AFL great Luke Hodge and his wife, Lauren, have sold their home in Brisbane’s inner east after buying a luxurious trophy home in the suburb next door.
The former premiership-winning Hawthorn captain has paid $4.6m for a huge six-bedroom, five-bathroom stunner on more than 1000 sqm in neighbouring Bulimba — plenty of room for their four children.

The prestigious home, which was marketed by Sarah Hackett of Place Estate Agents, boasts city views, an in-ground pool, a wine cellar, a fireplace, an outdoor kitchen with built-in barbecue, a games room with a bar, and a sound-proof cinema — all within walking distance of Oxford Street.
They sold their former home at 70 Beatrice St, Hawthorne, for an undisclosed price believed to be circa $2.5m earlier this month.
It was sold by Tony O’Doherty of Belle Property, who declined to comment on the deal.
That property also had six bedrooms, but was on a smaller 576 sqm block.
The near-new home featured an outdoor playground with a covered pool, a basketball half-court, a putting green, and an outdoor entertaining area.
Hodge played for Hawthorn and the Brisbane Lions before retiring in 2019.
He captained Hawthorn from 2011 to 2016, and is widely regarded as one of the most respected players in the game.
He played 305 games for the Hawks before moving to Brisbane for his final two seasons of footy.
Late last year, Hodge sold his Melbourne house at 12 Brownell Rd, Glen Iris, a week before it was due to go to auction.
The five-bedroom pad with a pool and sauna is understood to have sold for more than $3.38m.
