Former Qld Senator Barry O’Sullivan – whose property portfolio was once bigger than even that of Clive Palmer – has listed a rare block of land for sale.
During his time in federal Parliament, Mr O’Sullivan held the most properties of all senators and members of the House of Representatives, with 42 under his belt in 2015.
Real estate agent Cooper Watson of Realway Toowoomba has the land listed for sale via offers for purchase ending in a week, posting a quirky stick house video to drum up interest.

“In East Toowoomba, 1,394sq m allotments are extremely rare. So rare that a block of this size has not been presented to the East Toowoomba property market in five years,” he said.
The flat block at 12 Cottesloe Street, East Toowoomba, was described as being perfect whether it was for “a home with a stunning pool for the family, a large shed, a studio, a chicken pen, a squash court, or immaculate gardens”.
Mr O’Sullivan bought his first property in the 1970s, with his real estate holdings in Queensland involving residential land, house and unit developments in Goondiwindi, Helidon, Kleinton, Withcott, Kingaroy and Brisbane.
The former Nationals Whip in the Senate was a grazier and a policeman before turning to politics, following in the footsteps of his father former Nationals party president, Don McDonald.
