Hutchies to build Chevron Island’s Nina apartments

The national construction giant, Hutchinson Builders, are continuing to pick up a number of Gold Coast projects.

Having recently started construction on Yves at Mermaid Beach, their latest construction contract is with Aecore, to build their contemporary Chevron Island apartment development, Nina.

The $90 million Nina will soon rise at 8-10 Parneno Street, just around the corner form the under-construction Allure, Aecore’s first project on the island. That has 78 apartments across 23 levels, which includes a selection of six premium skyhomes and two multi-level penthouses.

As the group’s third Gold Coast project in three years, the amenity-rich Nina features a wet edge, resort-style pool with day beds on the rooftop, as well as a sunken firepit space with built in seating, and a barbecue terrace with seating.

Hutchies are one of Australia’s most prominent construction groups, recording a $2.62 billion turnover last year.

They’ve have been building the structures in which Australians live, work, study, shop and play since 1912.

“Our aim is to be recognised as the best builders in the industry,” said Managing Director, Greg Quinn.

“As Australia’s largest privately owned construction company, our business capability and complexity is well beyond that of a ‘Mum and Dad’ builder, but our core values remain very much embedded in the idea of investing in relationships, taking care of each other and the community, and working towards a common goal. We pride ourselves on working with you as a true construction partner.”

On the ground floor residents will have access to a secure bike storage area at the building’s entry, while a mezzanine level above the ground floor will host a wellness centre to include a yoga deck, a large gym, sauna and shower facilities, all set in lush landscaping.

The current Chairman, Scott Hutchinson, is now the fourth generation Hutchinson to preside over the business, taking over from his father Jack when he retired. Scott’s son, Jack Jnr, is now working in the business too, which will see Hutchies 108 years of experience continue well into the future.
