He mentored Qld to 2022 NRL State of Origin champs, but Maroons legend Nate Myles can take a hit when he has to, lowering his price expectations to sell off an investment unit.

Mr Myles – who married Home And Away star Tessa James in 2011 – had listed two apartments for sale earlier this year after buying a five bedroom home in Currumbin Valley near the QLD-NSW border.

The Myles family sold their investment unit at Alice Street, Kedron, for $435,000.

The unit they sold had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and one car space.

After paying $1.2m last year for their new family home, he listed the two apartments for sale priced not far off what he and wife Tessa had paid six years ago.

Property records show he sold the Kedron property in the weeks leading up to Origin, accepting $15,000 less than his asking price for the apartment.

He had been looking for offers over $450,000, but lowered his expectations to accept $435,000 – just $1,500 more than the Myles family had paid six years ago.

The property was fetching rental of $390 a week in September 2020.

The couple bought this property in Currumbin Valley to turn into their Qld family home.

Mr Myles still has his Moorooka three bedroom unit on the market, looking for offers over $500,000 – around $40,000 less than what he had paid for the property. It was tenanted in 2021 at $480 a week.

He made about $200,000 on the sale of a Palm Beach property four years ago, and still owns a beach house located a half-hour’s drive from his hometown Cairns – as well as a family home in Gordonvale he bought off his mum 12 years ago.
