IT was the most expensive one-bedroom apartment in Queensland when it sold for $2.625m in 2018.

Now, the lavish Brisbane CBD penthouse owned by the co-founder of Fone Zone is back on the market with offers by negotiation.

David and Tracey McMahon have listed their opulent, one-bedroom unit fronting the Brisbane River at 71 Eagle Street.

Once a three-bedroom apartment on the 41st level of Riparian Plaza in the heart of the city, the 323 sqm property was converted into a one-bedroom and one-bathroom unit, with parking for three cars.

The views from the Riparian Plaza apartment are stunning.

The master retreat features two walk-in robes, an ensuite and balcony.

The demolition of two of the apartment’s bedrooms paved the way for a media room, office space and powder room.

The kitchen is sleek and modern.

Drew Davies, of Place Estate Agents, negotiated the previous sale and has now relisted the unit at 4103/71 Eagle Street — without a price guide.

The McMahons downsized to the apartment after selling their Hamilton hill mansion at 34 Mullens Street for $5.975m in 2017.

Mr McMahon retired from Fone Zone in 2013, having co-founded the company —now Vita Group — in 1995.
