Former singer and Neighbours actor, Natalie Imbruglia, was married on the beach and musician and entertainer, Peter Allen, used to own a property in the same street. but the holiday house is most famous for having US pop star Pink and actor Johnny Depp as guests in recent years.

Records show Ms Simson paid $1.88m for the property almost eight years ago.

The property is on an exclusive and private stretch of beach near Port Douglas in north Queensland.

She and husband, Stuart King, used it during Covid lockdowns, but otherwise lease it out as a holiday rental for up to $1000 a night.

They are selling to focus more on travelling.

A three-bedroom, two-bathroom house sits on the 607 sqm block, which is just metres from the ocean.

The property has an epic outdoor entertaining area.

An outdoor dining pavilion in the private, Balinese-inspired courtyard overlooks a pool and the palm tree-lined beach.

Ray White Port Douglas principal Mark Flinn described the property as a rare lifestyle investment opportunity in a tightly-held community.

The property is scheduled for auction on Thursday, July 28, therefore a price guide cannot be given.

The most recent sale in the street was in 2020 when a less desirable property at 33 Oak Street sold for $1.19m.

Inside, an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area open out to the beachfront.

“There have been a couple of beachfront sales (near Port Douglas) for $2.5m and $3m in the last 12 months,” Mr Flinn said.

Ms Simson was one of the multi-millionaires who committed to investing in a business opportunity pitched by budding entrepreneurs on the Network Ten reality show, Shark Tank.
