Next Property Group’s Melissa Schembri marketed the home on behalf of its previous owners Heidi Meyer and Kim Carroll, who paid just $2.3 million for the property in 2014.
Ms Schembri said the sale was the highest recorded price for a residential home in the local government area.
Interestingly, the property was offered ‘walk in – walk out’ with all furniture and accessories included — even the baby grand piano.
The house has been fully refurbished but retains traditional features such as oak parquetry flooring, high ceilings, ornate cornices, French doors and a grand fireplace.
Multiple living areas lead onto a wraparound deck, three of the bedrooms incorporate marble ensuites, there’s also a large office and upstairs is a self-contained guest suite.
Outdoors, there is a north facing mineralised pool and terrace, as well as a spring fed dam.
Property records show Mr Sekler also owns a home in Kewarra Beach, Cairns, which he bought for $4.5 million in 2014.
