Queensland richlister Clive Palmer has put a freshly renovated waterfront home up for rent, two years after adding it to his 32-strong property portfolio in the state.
He had bought the investment property in Wildash Street, Southport, for $2.8m in December 2019, and now has it up for rent at $2000 a week – and he wants six weeks rent as bond.
Mr Palmer owns the property with wife Anna, who has 10 properties in her portfolio. The couple had undertaken extensive upgrades to the property turning it into a double storey Hamptons-style retreat.

When the Palmers bought the property it was listed as being one to “renovate or knockdown and build your dream home” in Southport’s TSS precinct, surrounded by multimillion-dollar homes.
At the time it was an original single level family home with a large boat ramp overlooking James Overell parkland with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two oversized living areas, a large galley kitchen on a “functional single level floor plan”.

Clive and Anna Palmer turned it into a two-storey Hamptons style home with multiple living areas, four ensuited bedrooms and two additional powder rooms. There are now large covered entertaining areas upstairs and down with plenty of storage in the new Hamptons style kitchen, a media room/office, study nook, and additional office or lounge off the master bedroom.
The master bedroom has his and hers walk in robes leading to a large covered balcony and additional office/lounge area.
Every bedroom has an ensuite and there are two powder rooms as well.
Professionals Vertullo Real Estate have it listed on realestate.com.au as a home that epitomises coastal glamour, with lavish proportions and the finest finishes including timber floors, large guest suite leading to the outdoor entertaining space, and a 15 metre pontoon for motorboats to tie up to.
