The ultimate Noosa holiday home has sold for $13.5m with so many bells and whistles, furniture and pieces of artwork that all the new owner needs to bring is a toothbrush.
The “uber-luxe” four bedroom, four bathroom home which sits on a 937sq m block hit a new sales record for Little Cove, said agent Chris Miller of Tom Offermann Real Estate, and was one of five properties taken to auction in Noosa by the agency over the weekend with sales totalling $40.905m.

Everything from sumptuous linen-covered sofas, brushed metal side tables, integrated fireplace, silk rugs, accessories, artwork, dining table hand hewn in South American hardwood, plus designer rough-cut crystal pendants, leather with teak chairs, was inclusive of the sale.
Coco Privé was an “incomparable showpiece” from the celebrated design and development team of Glen and Deborah Watson, he said, drawing a crowd of 140 and nine registered bidders.
Auctioneer Gordon MacDonald accepted an opening bid of $8m, with “conservative bidding” until it hit the $10m mark when the heat was turned up with several big increases of $500,000 and above.
Melbourne buyers were the eventual winners at $13.5m, smashing the previous Little Cove record of $11.2m and overwhelming the sellers.
“I am ecstatic, albeit shell-shocked,” Mr Miller said of the sale. “It has been an incredible honour to represent this stunning property and I’m thrilled to have helped our clients achieve a wonderful result, recognising their remarkable vision and talent in creating Coco Privé.”
“I am so excited for the owners-to-be who have done so exceptionally well to secure what will continue to be one of Noosa’s finest residences for years to come, in this most sought-after of locations, Little Cove.”
The property is 100m from the beach, on the edge of the Noosa national park, and minutes from the dining precinct of Hastings Street.
Called Coco Prive Little Cove, the massive 850sq m home was said to be a design and development showpiece by the Watsons, focusing on alfresco living.
“The priority was to make the most of the aspect by ‘wrapping’ the residence on three sides by numerous terraces and zones.”
The standout feature is “the Watson’s signature upholstered double day beds ‘floating’ on the dazzling viridescent, mosaic-tiled infinity pool”.
